Are you an interior design lover? Are you looking for new shows to binge on Netflix, especially during these lockdown times? There is no shortage of design shows to choose from, whether you’re more into awe-inspiring architecture, interior design meets reality TV or dreamy interiors.
Here are my top 3 interior design shows to binge on Netflix, seen and approved 😉
This show is about 10 aspiring interior designers competing over a period of 8 weeks to win their first professional design contract. Each week, the contestants have to take up an interior design challenge, while being evaluated by well-established interior designers such as Matthew Williamson or Sophie Robinson and competition host Michelle Ogundehin.
I literally binge-watched the 8 episodes of this show! I loved everything about it! The contestants whose witty, funny and creative personalities made me want to be friends with them. The interiors created, which made me want to hire an interior designer to remodel my entire home. And finally, the guest-judges whose stylish advices I dutifully wrote down in case I once need them.
In a nutshell, this show is fabulously inspiring while being totally reliable!
In this show, award-winning architect, Piers Taylor and property enthusiast Caroline Quentin set out to explore extraordinary homes, built in the mountains, forests, coasts and even underground locations around the world.
Watching this series almost made me go back to school and study architecture! Not only do you see awe-inspiring buildings but also gorgeous interiors. But, the uniqueness of this show is that the featured houses are actual liveable family homes and not mere pieces of art.
This is a great show for appreciating architectural and eco-friendly creativity, while travelling to stunning locations. What I also loved about this series, is the chemistry between the two hosts! It’s so natural it makes you giggle throughout the show!
This one is ridiculously addictive, especially if, like me, you’re a self-confessed reality TV junky! The show is centred on the Oppenheim Group, a high-end real estate agency on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip, helmed by twin brothers Jason and Brett. It chronicles the lives of the company’s glamorous, absurdly good-looking female employees.
I also binge-watched this show! It’s a mix between The Real Housewives franchise and Grand Designs. By watching it, you both get your fix of reality TV while discovering some mind-blowing L.A properties.
Let me know if you watched one of these three shows and if you liked them?! And of course, I welcome any interior design recommendation coming from you, my dear readers.
